The Rocky Mountaineer train offers the most spectacular train trip in
the world, throughout the Great Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Travelling on board the Rocky Mountaineer is an unforgettable
experience, considered by many to be a trip of a lifetime. Look out for
the bears and the eagles!
The rail journey that opened up the Canadian West, travelling through
some of the most rugged terrain in the world, recaptures the romance of
rail travel as it follows the historic route constructed over 100 years
ago through Canada’s West and the Canadian Rockies, uniting the country.
Today, this historical route is recognised as one of the world’s classical
journeys.
The Rocky Mountaineer travels by rail through five of
these protected areas: Mount Revelstoke National Park, Glacier National
Park, Yoho National Park, and the oldest and the largest of the Rockies
parks, Banff and Jasper.
This is the land of abundant wildlife, snowy peaks, glittering glacial
lakes, ferocious rivers, roaring waterfalls and towering trees. Make
this the year you experience the adventure and scenic wonders of the
majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains and Canada’s West up close, as the
entire train ride takes place during daylight hours to ensure you enjoy
every minute of the breathtaking scenery, preserved for more than a
century.
Prices for this train journey start from £251 but we would
weave this into a more detailed itinerary with stopovers and to include
flight prices to make a memorable holiday.
This train journey is featured on our page labelled ‘Canada – Tailor
Made Trips’. Prices start from 11 days from £1,395.
